The good news is that most organizations now offer wellness. The bad news is that most still struggle with engagement. 85% of US organizations offer wellness, but over 80% of eligible employees are opting out. It doesn’t have to be this way. Research shows that it’s the manager that makes the difference. According to Gallup, managers alone account for 70% of the variance in employee engagement with their work and well-being. In effect, every manager has the opportunity to serve as either a “multiplier” or a “gatekeeper” of well-being for all the employees they manage. At Motion Infusion, we're excited about what activating managers can mean in the way of helping employees to be more creative, more productive and more alive. This is why we've partnered up with Pro-Change Behavior Systems, to offer Managers on the Move – a unique program designed to empower managers to become “multipliers” of well-being for their teams, and for the larger organization. Here's how it works: Pre-Assessment: Prior to the workshop, managers and their team members are assessed to establish a baseline. We’re measuring the extent to which managers are acting as either “gatekeepers” or “multipliers” – and the influence that this is having on their team members, in relation to well-being, productivity and engagement with one’s work. Action: In an informative and interactive leadership-training workshop, each manager is empowered to become a Managers on the Move. Each is educated on the business case for well-being, explores the key role they play in their team’s well-being, and acquires strategies to spark a movement of well-being for their team in 3 steps:
Post-Assessment: Three months later, managers and their team members are assessed again to measure impact. At this time, the client receives an aggregate report, and participating managers have the option to receive individual feedback. We'd love to work with you to spark a manager-led movement of well-being in your organization! Managers & leaders at Healthstat adopt their favorite power pose during a Managers on the Move workshop.
