Laura Putnam
Laura knows how to get things moving and she invigorates workplaces on a daily basis in a highly effective – and really fun – way.
Drawing on a background in education, public policy, competitive athletics, dance and wellness, Laura utilizes a movement-based approach to promote well-being and innovation in the workplace. As an expert in how we learn, motivation and behavioral change, and building a healthy organizational culture, Laura is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences. Laura also serves on community boards, including the American Heart Association Greater Bay Area 2020 Task Force, the Stanford Health Promotion Network as a Program Associate, and the American Society for Training & Development Golden Gate Chapter’s Board of Directors.
Previously, Laura taught in urban public high schools, served as an executive director of a youth-leadership organization, and was a staff member of the Senate Antitrust Subcommittee in Washington D.C. In the area of movement, Laura was a nationally competitive collegiate gymnast, a professional dancer, and is a certified Pilates and fitness instructor. Laura holds a Bachelor's degree from Stanford University in International Relations and a Masters degree in Education from Brown University.
